Boardwalktech To Present Blockchain Application at Oracle Open World

Cupertino, California – September 4, 2017

Boardwalktech announced today that they will be presenting as part of the Emerging Technologies for Business – Blockchain sessions at the Oracle Open World conference demonstrating an Oracle Blockchain Cloud powered service for enterprise application data

There is a lot of enterprise data which today is managed on the desktop either loosely coupled to ERP or simply as silos of information which constantly evolves as part of a business process. As you look to the extended enterprise including counterparties, suppliers, and regulators, one of the fundamental problems is how to set up a verified and trusted store of the data since it resides on people’s desktops in files and is often emailed between parties. As a result, enterprises struggle with data alignment and trust issues which impact their ability to plan and execute efficiently and effectively.

During the presentation, attendees will see how enterprises that need to work across multiple enterprise boundaries can effectively connect Oracle ERP, desktop application data, and the Oracle Blockchain Cloud Service (BCS). The combination of Hyperledger on Oracle BCS and Boardwalktech’s off-chain neutral work-in-process (WIP) service delivers trusted, validated and secure transactions through blockchain along with collaborative planning and execution decision provenance. What is unique about the Boardwalktech offering is that it is also a digital ledger which captures the provenance of decisions amongst the parties. This combination provides the end-to-end planning and execution framework needed to transform existing enterprise information applications (sometimes in Excel) to now include a common, validated, irrefutable process and blockchain data environment which will now run on the Oracle BCS.

“Boardwalktech has been building and running private digital ledger technology (DLT) networks for over 12 years for some of the largest and most successful enterprises in the world,” said Andrew T. Duncan, CEO of Boardwalktech. “Using our patented software (Boardwalk), applications can be quickly configured, integrated with the extended enterprise including blockchain, and deployed using Excel, a browser, or mobile which meet all of the data exchange/management needs of the DLT/Blockchain network participants resulting in a more efficient, secure and trusted digital information exchange environment.”

By combining the Oracle BCS server running Boardwalk with Hyperledger blockchain, provenance of consortium decisions bolsters the value of the transactions actually entered onto the chain – thereby creating an end-to-end collaborative and secure smart contract based consortium network.
