Boardwalktech Releases New Design Framework Application Environment

Palo Alto, California – September 22, 2014

Boardwalktech, Inc., the leading provider of spreadsheet data management technology for the enterprise and developer of the patented Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP), announced today that it has released a powerful new Design Framework (DF) process configuration management environment which its customers can use to configure and deploy processes on the Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP). Using the same Excel data and business logic that is already being used in a spreadsheet process, with the Design Framework, customer can now deploy enterprise quality, access controlled applications which users can access through an Excel-based template. All users can access this application process template from a central file sharing or portal location and when the user logs into BCP, they only see their data in the process template. They can then make changes and share updates concurrently with other users and systems without check-in/out or other cumbersome process constraints.

“Over the past several years, we have worked with many customers to configure and deploy a wide range of collaborative planning applications run in spreadsheets but with the data managed securely through BCP,“ said JB Kuppe, VP of Marketing at Boardwalktech. “We have taken all the components that we use for configuring enterprise quality applications and packaged them into these Excel-based templates which can cut deployment times from weeks to days and support rapid application deployment across the enterprise. Gone are the days that companies are willing to wait 6 months to just start working in an enterprise system—they want processes deployed quickly plus they want to make changes during deployment. BCP’s new Design Framework environment provides this capability for our customers.”

With BCP, rather than expending company resources on manually collecting and assembling spreadsheet process data across the extended enterprise both inside and outside the firewall, users can now leverage DF to rapidly configure and deploy processes. Working offline in the familiar Excel environment on the desktop, users are able to use BCP to make adjustments to process data and conduct what-if analysis to determine the impact of data changes. When ready, they can then share their changes with other users with the click of a button from within Excel. With this deeper insight and capability, companies can spend more time making effective management decisions and driving their business to greater profitability.
