Boardwalktech Releases Integration Framework for Working With Multiple Disparate Data Sources

Palo Alto, California – July 16, 2013

Boardwalktech, Inc., the leading provider of spreadsheet data management technology for the enterprise and developer of the patented Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP), announced today that it has released a new Integration Framework environment which leverages the company’s powerful new “SuperMerge” technology and allows customers to rapidly integrate together data from multiple systems, geographies, and operating groups into a single collaborative environment managed through BCP. Only BCP utilizes a patented, single-schema data model approach when working with enterprise data. This unique capability enables BCP to pull together data from multiple systems by simply accessing normalized data sources which are then mapped and configured for two-way integration with BCP. These multiple sources can then be pulled into one collaborative view, merged as a composite, or aggregated/disaggregated to different levels. The key is the ability to work with this data within a single schema that’s as flexible as storing data in an Excel column.

“Other integration technologies require an intermediary data environment that serves as a translation conduit of data as it moves from one system environment to another,“ explains JB Kuppe, VP of Marketing at Boardwalktech, “this means that you have to create this data environment and face the same hurdles as your internal environment in that you need to setup the appropriate fields, structures, and other schema data models to work with the data. This often proves to be difficult especially for data that comes from multiple system environments and changes on a frequent basis. BCP’s patented single-schema data environment is unique in its ability to handle data from multiple data environments in a single, flexible patented database environment, with an ability for users to collaborate over the data from inside Excel.”

In today’s rapidly changing business environments, large companies are struggling to reconcile data from multiple systems, geographies, and operating groups into a single environment. Now, with BCP, they can seamless work with all their transactional record data, collaborative planning data, and other data sources as they become more widely used in the enterprise. And, it’s not just reporting, BCP enables users to collaborate with this data which is an essential part of any enterprise data management environment companies need today.

About the Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP):

Using the Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP), users can work offline in a familiar spreadsheet environment performing what-ifs to mature their inputs. When they are ready, with the click of a button, their changes are shared at the cell-level and automatically consolidated between other process users working in Excel users and with backend systems. Unlike with traditional database technology connected to Excel, all changes in BCP are versioned and persist which means your changes are not overwritten. BCP has been selected by companies ranging in size from $20m to over $22B to enterprise-enabled their Excel-based processes using BCP in areas including supply chain, financial planning and forecasting, project and resource planning, human resources, and other enterprise application areas.
