Boardwalktech Releases New Application Templates

Palo Alto, California – January 17, 2012

Boardwalktech, Inc., a leader in business process automation technology for the enterprise, announced today that it has released new "ready-made" application templates which companies can use to quickly get up and running with common business processes. These new ready-made templates add to an extensive library of existing processes that can be used throughout the business to “fill the gaps” where traditional systems are not the appropriate environment to manage the processes.

Every company has some form of sales forecasting, budgeting, or project management process. Regardless of industry, there's always a need to collaboratively collect updates across a number of users on where the business is going or how it's run. For most companies, this means dumping out Excel files from their systems of record and emailing them to process users to update or storing a master template on a document management system and then manually reconciling updates from all the users.

These new Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP) Templates give companies the ability to quickly automate what's often a manual, error prone, and extended business process. Fully configurable, these BCP Templates can be quickly aligned to your organizational structure or GL/product accounts and be up-and-running right away. And, since BPA is deployed via the cloud, there's no centralized software or data environment which needs to be maintained-- that's all taken care of by Boardwalktech. Of course, if your process requires integration with backend systems or needs to be run behind the firewall, BCP fully supports both these options.

“Business and IT users want solutions which are easy-to-use and deploy,“ comments JB Kuppe, VP of Marketing at Boardwalktech. “Working with BCP and our application templates, our customers can quickly address common processes. In addition, since BCP is also used for many other applications across the enterprise, the required extensibility is in place as well making it a powerful Business Process Automation platform solution.”

These new Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP) Templates are available now from the Boardwalktech website as trial versions which can then be configured and deployed for your specific forecasting, budgeting, or project management requirements. For more information, click here.

About the Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP):

Using the Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP), line of business (LOB) users can work offline in a familiar spreadsheet environment performing what-ifs to mature their inputs. When they are ready, with the click of a button, their changes are shared at the cell-level and automatically consolidated between other process users working in Excel users and with backend systems. Unlike with traditional database technology connected to Excel, all changes in BCP are versioned and persist which means your changes are not overwritten. BCP has been selected by companies ranging in size from $20m to over $22B for its capabilities as a business process automation solution that provides measurable operational improvements and financial ROI. Companies including Coca-Cola, Qualcomm, and Logitech have enterprise-enabled their Excel-based processes using BCP in areas including partner collaboration, joint business planning, forecasting, replenishment planning and project and resource planning.
